Under the hood its functions run on AWS Lambda, container-based, with cold starts but longer execution times than Workers.
It suits full-stack apps that need heavy backend logic, PostgreSQL with pgvector, or long-running computations. Cloudflare is edge-first (fast, lightweight, limited compute) and suits content sites better; Vercel's Lambda base is heavier and more flexible, with cold starts.
It integrates natively with Neon and Supabase for the database.
