infrastructure//Vercel//Trigger.dev

Trigger.dev is a background job framework that integrates with Vercel and other serverless platforms. Like Inngest, it solves the timeout problem by breaking work into queued jobs, and it serves the same uses: batch processing, API integrations, data pipelines, anything that would time out in a single Vercel Function.

Jobs are defined in TypeScript: each job is a function that gets queued, executed and tracked.

Retry logic, concurrency control and progress tracking are built in, and a monitoring dashboard shows which jobs are running, failed or completed.

It is more explicit than Inngest: jobs and triggers are defined directly, with less magic and more control over scheduling and execution order.
