infrastructure//Cloudflare//Pages

Pages is Cloudflare's platform for deploying websites, serving both frontend and backend from the same domain. The frontend is the static files in dist/ (HTML, CSS, JS), the output of a Vite build or any bundler. The backend is the serverless functions in the `functions/` directory, which run on Workers under the hood and hold the API framework (Hono).

The functions/ directory is what turns a static site into a full-stack app, with frontend and API in one deployment. A site is deployed through the CLI (wrangler pages deploy dist) or by connecting a GitHub or GitLab repository that deploys on every push (CI/CD). Custom domains are free, HTTPS is automatic, and every branch gets its own preview deployment.
