NVIDIA is a chip design company whose blueprints (GPUs, SoCs, accelerators) TSMC fabricates in its fabs into tiny black squares. CUDA enables deterministic GPU programming, and NVLink interconnects multiple chips on a PCB.
Its consumer GPUs, such as the RTX 3090 and 4090, are a PCB with fans that fits inside a tower. For edge and automotive use it makes the Orin SoC and the Jetson microcomputer platform. The CPU clusters inside its SoCs are licensed ARM core designs: ARM provides the instruction set, NVIDIA integrates it.
