The /btw command is a command of Claude Code that opens a side-chain conversation, so that typing /btw talks to Claude without interrupting the main task, to ask questions, give context or redirect it while it keeps working.

The main thread continues unaffected. The /btw message runs in a parallel conversation that sees the same context but does not block execution. It is useful when Claude is deep in a multi-file edit and something was left unsaid, or to ask what it is doing without derailing the flow.
